A pearly cover, the textured feel of the collage pages, and the matte touch of the wooden triangular-barrel pen. Each detail is tuned so the pleasing texture comes through at your fingertips.

Thread binding allows the notebook to open smoothly and lie flat at 180 degrees. For the main pages, Bunbougu Cafe customers tested many paper samples, and we chose the paper they found easiest to write on. We also developed an original ballpoint refill to suit the paper texture.

A generous 160 pages for everyday use. Available in A5 and pocket size, with plain and 5 mm grid options. The pages have a soft, warm tone so the pages do not feel glaring under LED lighting at work or school.

The first 8 pages use slightly thicker paper that can work like a small scrapbook. Sticky notes and masking tape are easy to apply and remove, so you can keep photos, cards, or small reminders where you will see them whenever you open the notebook.

You may wonder whether page numbers are really necessary. In daily use, you hardly need to think about them. But when you want to look back or organize your notes, they become surprisingly useful. The numbers are set in a soft typeface that matches KAKOtTO.

Only the lower-right corner is slightly rounded. It is a small detail that helps keep the page edge from bending against your sleeve while writing, or getting crushed when you put the notebook in a bag.

The blue and yellow ribbons let you keep two places ready at all times. For example, one can mark today's work list while the other marks a page for looking a little further ahead.

Because of the thread binding and the cloth reinforcement used for durability, faint registration marks from the inner pages can be seen through the spine. The ribbon bookmarks are also attached directly to the spine. If you prefer to cover this area, 60 mm masking tape fits the cloth spine well.

The blue and cream model is a 0.4 mm ballpoint pen. The yellow and cream model is a 0.5 mm mechanical pencil. Its slightly compact size fits neatly in the palm and works especially well for smaller handwriting.

The ends of the wooden barrel are slightly shaped to fit the pen tip and click mechanism. It may look as if the coating has been trimmed, but this also helps keep the edges smooth under your fingers. The matte finish feels calm and natural in the hand.

Although the pen is designed to feel surprisingly light, the tip and click mechanism are made of durable brass. The click action feels satisfying, and it's designed for long-term use.

If you usually use round pens or hexagonal pencils, the triangular barrel may feel a little different at first. As you use it, your fingers naturally settle into place, and the triangular shape begins to feel naturally comfortable.

The clip is attached to one flat side of the triangular barrel, so it slips neatly onto a notebook or planner cover.
